Monument goes the dogs for Woofstock on Saturday
Woofstock, RAL’s family friendly dog festival to raise money for homeless animals, takes place this Saturday on Monument Avenue between Allen & Lombardy.
Monument Market opens May 7
The weekly Monument Market farmer’s market opens May 7 and continues every Saturday 8AM-noon through October. Sponsored by Richmond’s First Baptist Church, the market is at the corner of Monument Avenue and North Robinson Street and will offer “organic vegetables, baked goods, plants, flowers, cheese and more”.
Monument Market gearing up for 2nd year
The Monument Market, the neighborhood weekly farmers market sponsored by Richmond’s First Baptist Church which premiered in 2010, is gearing up for a second season. The Market returns the corner of Monument Avenue and North Robinson Street on Saturdays beginning in May and vendor applications are now being accepted.

Hanover’s Victory Farms CSA has openings available for the 2011 CSA. The 2011 pickups are yet to be announced but last year they dropped at the Monument Market, South of the James Market, and at Bryan Park.
