Conservative Floyd Mays very recently announced his write-in challenge to incumbent Don McEachin in Tuesday’s election for State Senate District 9.

There is an election next week, sort of. Only one of the incumbents has a major party challenger, and half of the ballot is running unopposed. This is a travesty, and I encourage you to: 1) vote for the opposition, 2) write in a challenger if none exist.

There will not be a primary in Richmond today

There will not be a primary election held in the City of Richmond on Tuesday, August 23, 2011. Only one candidate filed for each office for which a primary was called. In such cases, that candidate becomes the party nominee and their name automatically appears on the ballot for the November general election.
