Burglary on Franklin Street
BURGLARY 12/9/11 8:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. 900 block of West Franklin Street An unknown person(s) broke into the residence and stole cash, jewelry and an iPod.
Suspicious package closes Harrison Street
Police at Virginia Commonwealth University are investigating a “suspicious package” delivered to the Pollack Building. Police have closed Harrison Street between Franklin Street and Park Avenue as part of the investigation.
Stolen backpack @ Robinson and Stuart

Break-in at Piccola’s
BURGLARY 11/7/11 12:20 a.m. – 10:40 a.m. 1100 W. Main St. An unknown person(s) broke into the business and stole cash and a checkbook.
Break-in at Akida
BURGLARY 11/3/11 – 11/4/11 10:30 p.m. – 10:30 a.m. 814 N. Robinson St. An unknown person(s) broke into the business and stole cash.
NOT a shooting at VCU
At approximately 3:19 a.m. today, Richmond Police responded to the 700 block of West Franklin Street (at Monroe Park) for a call of a large group of disorderly people with shots fired. Initial reports said that a man had been shot in the hand, this later proved to be false.
Robbery on Park Avenue
Police said the robbery occurred about 9:15 p.m. when the student was confronted by two suspects _ one of them with a gun _ who forced him into an alley in the 1000 block of Park Avenue. The suspects took the student’s belongings, including a backpack, a laptop, a cell phone and an iPod.
Bike theft near Grove Avenue
My bike was stolen off of my porch in the fan near Grove avenue earlier this week. It is a greyish/gunmetal color with a shimano seat, a blue suspension coil in the back, and neon blue (maybe flame-like?) design on the bar.
Seen this stolen bike?
STOLEN BIKE: Purple Mercier single speed bike with white seat and handlebars. Stolen off a sign post near Park and Robinson. Owner is only 4’11, so the bike is super short. If you see it, please call 804-380-7535.
