VCU: “Police on scene. 1 suspect in custody. Heavy police presence. “
@fanofthefan just flip the lights on on all the vcu pd cars like ne dc, no reason to give all the new midwest students tornado flashbacks.

I’m not clear on why VCU Police decided two muggings required waking up 20,000 people at 1:30am.
Is that less than usual? “@fanofthefan: Two armed robberies at VCU overnight http://t.co/eO4NoQhOh4”
I’m thankful for the police presence even if it awakens me.
@Park ave resident – Those are our options? If we want to have a police force we also have to live with air raid sirens going off at 1:30 in the morning?
Mr_Sterling… only 20,000? I live in Church Hill and they set off the sirens on the West Hospital building on Broad Street downtown too! Why would they need to sound both areas off so far apart?
I think VCU is under very tight restrictions mandated by state law after the Virginia Tech incident. I don’t think they have much leeway.
