During this 28 day period, robberies were the driving force behind an overall one percent increase in crime in Sector 313. Five of the eight robberies were solved with the arrest of Forrell Z. Council and Leonard Bullock. In another robbery warrants are on file for the arrest of a known subject John Haygood. See photos below.

Twenty-four thefts from motor vehicles occurred, compared to thirty- four during the previous period. Nineteen vehicles were broken into. Items were left in plain view creating an easy target. Several signs have been posted in the Texas Ave and Hampton St areas, warning of possible larceny from vehicles. See the pictures above. Please do not leave your vehicle unlocked or unattended with valuable in plain view.

Please note that despite the fact that residential burglaries are down, we have noticed an increase in late overnight burglaries. However it is extremely important to report a crime immediately after it happens. This gives the Police the best opportunity to capture the assailant. Please take the time to secure you residence before leaving home.
