New developments hold promise, if local businesses survive

nbc12 has a look at the new construction along Grace Street and it’s impact on the local businesses already there:

Presidential Cutz owner Telvis Fitzgerald says the road closures and lack of parking hurt his bottom line. He and other owners met with VCU officials to work out what can be done to alleviate the concerns. [...]

“I’m excited when all the stuff goes up because that means I’ll naturally get more business, more walk through traffic, more kids coming because of more dorms but right now it’s a damper in my pocket a little bit,” he debated. “If I can survive through it then I think it will pay off in the long run.”
