The Parking Ticket Guy
As of today, Thursday December 13, This guy has 61 unpaid parking tickets from 2012, with at least 5 from this month. He owes $3,550 for these tickets.
So I’ve been seeing this guy get parking tickets almost every day since I moved into this apartment (August 2012). Curiously, I looked up his license plate on the Richmond City website for parking tickets.
As of November 6, he has 48 open tickets, totalling $2,890.00.
I just don’t get it. Aren’t people meant to have their cars given the boot at this point?

Please. The city would much rather raise revenue via imposing “watershed fees” on property owners than enforcing its parking regulations. Examples: the multitude of unticketed and untowed cars consistently parked on the east side of Strawberry b/t Main and Floyd (no parking/tow zone) and along Main driving east through the Bottom (no parking/tow zone after 4:00 p.m.).
