Arrests announced from Monroe Park Occupation

Richmond Police have charged nine people with misdemeanors for unlawfully staying in Monroe Park after dark on March 17.

Matthew J. Castle, 21, of no fixed address, and Moriah M. Karn, 24, of the 2000 block of Barton Avenue, were both issued a misdemeanor summons each for unlawfully remaining in a public park after dark and released at the scene.

The seven people below were all charged with misdemeanor unlawfully remaining in a public park after dark as well as misdemeanor obstruction of justice for failing to identify themselves to a magistrate.

Katheryn M. Petrick, 29, of no fixed address,
David C. Stubbs, 26, of Charlotte, North Carolina,
Lawrence W. Oleksa, 18, of Henrico County,
Leilani R. Combs, 19, of the 1300 block of West Cary Street,
Daniel Fargason, 26, of no fixed address,
Stephen J. Loughman IV, 20, of the 2000 block of Barton Avenue, and
Darick Neth, 23, of no fixed address.

The group will be tried together during a court hearing on Tuesday, April 12, in the General District Court of the Manchester Courts building.
