Runner’s World Magazine editorial staff to participate in Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k. The Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k is proud to announce that the Runner’s World editorial staff will be participating in this year’s event. Seven editors including Chief Running Officer, Bart Yasso, plan to make the trip. The partnership with Runner’s World traces back to 2009 when the SunTrust Richmond Marathon was selected as the first-ever destination for the Runner’s World Challenge, a 16-week online training program culminating with the SunTrust Richmond Marathon. Richmond was also a Challenge location in 2010.
“I’ve been to races in different cities all over the country and, logistically and organizationally, Richmond really stands out in my mind,” said Yasso. “The Sports Backers do a tremendous job of servicing the runners.”
