On street cleaning and leaf removal

A message from the Department of Public Works:

DPW has gotten some complaints from a few residents stating their streets are not clean following the vacuum removal of their leaves. We are not doing residential street cleaning at this time. The main objective during leaf collection is to collect the piles of leaves and get them out of the gutter line so the water can flow freely and the drainage system is not clogged with leaves.

We are accomplishing that mission. We will try to remove as much as we can during the vacuuming process, but the primary goal is to get the leaves. Again, we’re not cleaning residential streets right now.
