Based in Richmond, VA, Ombak combines the forces of trombonist Bryan Hooten, guitarist Trey Pollard, bassist Cameron Ralston and drummer Brian Jones to create a daring mix of modern improvisation and composition. Ombak’s debut record Framing the Void, has been called “the boiled-down essence of the Richmond improvisational scene” (5 stars, Style Weekly).
