TJ graduates 88% on-time in 2010

The Virginia Department of Education today released on-time graduation numbers for the state, schools systems, and individual schools for the class of 2010. For this class, Richmond Public Schools had an on-time graduation rate of 72% and a cohort graduation rate of 74.6%. The state-wide on-time graduation rate was 85.5%.

The new furniture and home decor consignment shop Blue Elephant has some love for Garnett’s Cafe While we have a number of sandwich shops in Richmond, Garnett’s is one of my favorites. They have an extensive menu of delicious sandwiches (I love the Croque Florentine) and amazing desserts (apple cake!).

Police arrest 4 in recent armed robberies

Richmond Police have arrested and charged three men and one woman in connection with several recent armed robberies in the neighborhood. Brandon E. Lathem, 21, of Centerville; Darryl L. House II, 18, of Lansdowne; Kwayee Tarty, 25, of Henrico; and Nicole A. Reynolds, 27, Henrico, have all been charged with robbery.
