Thanks to all of the RPS Board Members for their patience and consideration on this issue tonight… and thank you to all of our neighbors that came out to hear about the proposal and express your feelings. There seem to be a lot of questions about planning and implementation but also a lot of good discussion surrounding the concept.
I didn’t hear any parent in attendance tonight who was in favor of the superintendent’s “pipe dream” plan. This was probably because she chose not to include parents in the planning process, which is another shining example of poor leadership. So I have only one question for the superintendent, just so that we will all know how confident she is in her own leadership skills and in the implementation of a hastily drawn plan. If this plan is not everything that she promises it to be, is she willing to tender a letter of resignation to the parents and school board members before the end of the year? Fair enough?
