Robberies this Weekend
11/7/09, 2:40 a.m., 1200 block of West Broad Street - Three males reported they were robbed at gunpoint by two unknown males.
11/7/09, 12:15 p.m., 2400 block of Stuart Avenue - A female reported she was robbed at gunpoint by an unknown male. (The police report says p.m., but maybe they mean a.m.? If not, that’s pretty bold.)
11/6/09, 5:50 p.m., 700 block of Harrison Street - A female reported she was robbed at gunpoint by three unknown males. (The police report didn’t specify north or south Harrison, but it said 4th district, so I’m assuming south. But even so, that’s just south of the Fan and someone was robbed, at gunpoint, at 6 o’clock in the evening!)
OK folks how do we control this? Obviously the criminals come into the fan from their neighborhood and rob patrons of our bars & eateries. This is so consistant but we cant seem to control it? How about some random street corner cameras…i know, i know, big brother. Damn its frustrating though…I love the fan. I love raising my kids in the fan but this drives me nuts!
That 12:15 robbery on Stuart WAS at NOON!!!! The same street that on Sunday I saw lovely children having a bake sale, the same sidewalk this happened. Please, please, watch out for each other, don’t let these s__mbags get away with this. Please speak up if you see anything!!
There have been a lot of armed robberies in the Fan lately. I keep a knife on my always but I don’t think that would do any good against these kids’ guns. We just gotta stay vigilant as a whole.
