Free Coffee and Doughnuts to Help Park Clean-Ups
If there’s a neighborhood park that you enjoy, you can go help clean it up this coming Saturday. From the latest FDA Fanfare:
The Fan District Association and the Fan Women’s Club are happy to announce the annual Fall Park Clean-Up scheduled for Saturday, October 10th from 9 am until 12 noon. All Fan parks including Lombardy, Meadow, Monroe, Paradise, Scuffletown and Sydney are asked to join in the effort which will be repeated in the Spring. Richmond City Arborists, Dept. of Public Works, and the Dept. of Parks and Recreation will bring much needed support in this effort by offering free mulch, expertise from the Arborists, wheelbarrows, rakes (if needed) and fall plantings.
Coffee, water and doughnuts will be served in the morning for all park teams courtesy of the FDA and FWC.

The cleanup last weekend was good too– we got Paradise Park cleaned up and started our liriope dig, replanted what we dug along the outside wall and were able to give a lot away to the folks at Grace Street Park too! Donna
