According to the Richmond Police Department, three prolific auto thieves who have targeted the Fan area have been apprehended. Six Burner–the popular Fan restaurant on W. Main Street at Lombardy is losing its executive chef, Lee Gregory, at the end of the month. Gregory is moving West to Staunton and an intriguing new restaurant project called Mockingbird. Richmond Magazine has the story. Bill Pantele, former candidate for Mayor of Richmond, was appointed to the ABC Commission on Monday. You can read the whole press release here. I guess I’m not sure exactly what that job entails, but apparently you are well compensated for it.

The RTD has reported that the Fan’s lone Post Office may close as the US Postal Service deals with crushing financial shortages. Saunders Station (a post office that isn’t exactly known for its efficiency) is among six Richmond area Post Office that may be shuttered. Is this a big deal?
