‘We Made A Mural’ Opening at Paradise Park

Friends of Paradise Park is hosting a grand opening in celebration of the completion of the mural recently painted in the park. The opening is Saturday, August 8th, from 11:30 AM to 2 PM. The event will be highlighted by the No BS Brass leading a march through surrounding streets (Floyd, Grove, Allen, and Vine to be specific). There will be food, music, crafts, dancing, and creating.
Come check out the difference that a group of dedicated volunteers and neighbors have made in reviving one of the Fan’s pocket parks. And afterwards, head on up to Shields for the Jonny Z Festival.

Erik! This is a beautiful write-up! Thank you very much! We are really excited that there are two murals being celebrated in the Fan on the same day! Many coincidences on this journey!
Our mural is still a work-in-progress, so we will be painting again on Monday, Aug. 3 8:30am – 4:30pm and possibly another day if it is not finished.
We are definitely looking forward to celebrating our project on the 8th! Visual Arts Center will have a craft table to make shakers for the parade! It will be lots of fun…that we can continue at Jonny Z fest! What a day!
