Overnight Armed Robbery

The RTD has reported on two related armed robberies that occurred in the Fan (near Floyd and Strawberry Streets) in the early morning hours, between 1:20 and 1:25 AM.

[Richmond Police Captain] Powers said the first assault was a purse-snatching that occurred when the victim was confronted on the street and ended with her being knocked to the ground. A few minutes later and a short distance away, the same suspect is believed to have robbed another woman on the street, shooting her once, Powers said.
