I was just robbed at gunpoint where I work. I am sick of this. I was robbed of property at my home too in August.ALL in the FAN. What is being done? This area is unsafe and I feel I am not safe here in this town anymore. Why is more not being done? Must we wait to be killed before more is done? It’s absolutely unacceptable and more cops need to be taking this seriously. These thugs need to GO
I agree. The police need to be more proactive. I would also suggest taking a look at the misuse of Monroe Park and its role as a magnet for crime.
In the meantime make your voice heard by City Council, the Mayor, the police and your neighbors. The time to prevent crime is before it happens.

I live near a convenience store. The police spend loads of time hanging out there but when me or my neighbors call to report the drunks, they won’t do anything about it. What happened to the horseback units that used to ride through Carytown? What happened to Project Exile? I agree with Paula — the police no longer do anything proactive.
