VCU to build dorms at old Ukrops?
Remember the news from a few months ago about VCU’s Real Estate Foundation scooping up the shuttered Ukrops at Harrison and Grace? Here’s news about a Fan District Association Meeting where VCU will reveal their plans for the space. The meeting is Monday at 7 PM at 208 Strawberry St.
Sounds like some might soon be spoiling for a fight. If you’re concerned about that property and VCU’s expansion, this might be an important meeting.
Any other guesses as to VCU’s plans?
The meeting has been rescheduled:
VCU’s presentation to the Fan District Association’s Board Meeting at 7 PM on March 30 has been postponed. Realizing that a number of people might want to attend, the FDA decided to reschedule the presentation (probably mid to late April) after a larger venue can be found to accomodate the large number of interested Fan residents.
Thank you to all of you who expressed interest and planned to be present at Monday’s meeting. Watch your e-mail for a notice from the FDA of the new date, time and location.
